Based on the new government guidelines and the upcoming 2nd lockdown period in England, Pawsitive Touch will still be able to offer treatments throughout this period, to those dogs whose health or welfare will suffer without their regular Galen Myotherapy treatments. These will take place in Surbiton in The Pawsitive Pod. Details, directions, parking and COVID-19 safety measures will be emailed to each client prior to their dog’s treatment. All risk assessment procedures have been updated.
There is also the option of a Zoom session for current clients as well as functional exercise sessions and the Galen Myotherapy Distance Support Programme is still available for new clients. Click here to find out more.
Based on the government decision (dated 15/10/20) to move London to Tier 2 of the COVID-19 alert level (as of 17/10/20,) I wanted to reassure clients that having reviewed my risk assessment procedures, treatments with me will continue, as long as it is safe to do so. These treatment will be outdoors or in extreme weather conditions, in an open doorway. 2m social distancing must be maintained at all times.
As of 29th June 2020
I will be resuming face to face treatments whilst following all government guidelines. These include (but are not exclusive to;)
- COVID-19 updated risk assessment
- Completion of COVID -19 safety course
- Only treating outdoors with no access to indoors
- Maintaining social distancing (2m)
- Excellent hand hygiene and cleaning procedures
- Wearing appropriate PPE
If you would like to book a treatment for your dog, please contact me so that I can go through a personal risk assessment with you.
Your safety is of paramount importance to me whilst also ensuring that the way that I work with you and your dog remains unchanged. The principles of choice led and dog centred treatment will always be a priority.
I will however still also be offering all ‘remote’ treatment options both for existing and new clients. For full details of these, please see below.
Support For Existing Clients
For existing clients, there are two options. If neither options suits you, please contact me directly.
Option 1 – Remote treatment over Skype or Zoom
How it works
You will receive instructional clips talking you through a couple of techniques that will be suitable for you to use on your own dog. We then arrange a time to ‘meet’ over Zoom and I guide you through a treatment with your dog. Please contact me for bookings or if you would like further information.
Option 2 – Bespoke Exercise plan for your dog
How it works
You will receive a bespoke exercise plan for your dog and their individual needs. You will not need any specialised kit and it can all be done at home with things you already have. Please contact me for bookings or any further information
Cost £40 – this cost includes the bespoke plan and 2 feedback sessions from me.
Support for dogs not currently receiving Galen Myotherapy.
For anyone that has yet to try Galen Myotherapy but would like to support their dog’s mobility, muscular health and comfort levels; there are also a couple of options.
Galen Myotherapy Distance Support Programme
How it works
This is a well established programme that has been used with wonderful results. Using information that you as the owner provide about your dog, I will give a visual postural assessment of your dog as well as looking at their environment and daily habits to assess your dog’s comfort levels and muscular health. You will then receive a written assessment as well as the tools and support needed to apply two practical massage techniques which you can apply to your dog. You will receive continued support throughout the programme and I will do a progress report after 6 weeks so you can see all the improvements you are making to your dog’s mobility and comfort levels. Please contact me for bookings and further information,
Cost £99 (reduced from £125 due to current social distancing restrictions)
Please note: this programme does not replace Veterinary care, if you are worried about your dog, please contact your Veterinary Surgeon.
This programme also does not replace the full Galen Myotherapy treatment and programme but we are committed to maintaining your dog’s health and this programme will enable me to assist them during the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreaks.
