In my ‘previous life’ I worked as a teacher and in senior management in school for many years which I loved. I have always had dogs in my life and I am the proud owner of three westies; Maisie, Betty and Peggy and a Westiepoo Marge! My family and friends call me ‘dog mad’ and deep down, I have always dreamt of working with lots of dogs. A while ago, I fell ill and was hospitalised for a long time. On leaving hospital, I decided that it was time to do the things I have always wanted to do and that I am excited by. I set up a dog walking and dog boarding company but also wanted to challenge myself and learn a new skill. After a conversation with a friend, I decided to do some research and it was then that I found out about Galen Myotherapy ©. I visited, observed a couple of treatments and was certain that this was what I wanted to do. I enrolled to study to become a practitioner which was the best move I have made. I loved studying again and very quickly became really passionate about the huge difference that Galen Myotherapy © can make to the lives of dogs. I have worked over the years on a large number of dogs, each one unique and special in their own way! I feel truly privileged to be able to help these dogs to thrive and live a better quality of life. I am also one of the Galen Tutors for the practical part of the course where I come along with Maisie and Marge and hopefully help to instil my passion in others.
